How to scan a signature for an online form
- Sign on plain white paper with a black or dark blue pen. Avoid gel pens that bleed.
- Scan at 200 DPI, or photograph it flat in daylight with no shadow across the paper.
- Crop tightly around the signature so there is little white margin.
