- •Photo file above 300 KB — the OTR upload rejects it silently.
- •Photo below 20 KB — UPSC flags it as low-quality and asks for re-upload.
- •Photo without the candidate's name and date visible below the face.
- •Signature scanned in colour — UPSC expects black ink on plain white paper.
UPSC's official rules
- •UPSC OTR accepts JPG only, between 20 KB and 300 KB.
- •Recommended dimensions are 350×350 px for both photo and signature.
- •Photo should be recent (taken within the last 6 months) with a plain background.
- •Print the candidate's name and photograph date on a placard held below the chin.
