UPSC's current candidate-portal instructions require a recent colour JPG named photo.jpg, 20–200 KB, on a plain white background with 75% face coverage. A separate live photograph is mandatory in the application. This tool's 350×350 px output is a preset, not a photo dimension mandated by this instruction PDF.
Sign your own signature three times vertically, with gaps, in black ink on plain white paper. Scan all three together into one image before choosing it here. The tool preserves the whole image with white margins; it does not create or verify signatures. UPSC specifies 20–100 KB and dimensions of 350–500 pixels; this preset outputs 500×500 px. Rename the download signature.jpg before submitting.
Prepare your files
- Choose your photo and a correctly prepared signature image (JPG or PNG) in the boxes below.
- We adjust JPEG quality within the maximum size. Simple images may remain below the minimum; check the actual output. The triple-signature image is fitted whole with white margins, not cropped.
- Download the file and verify its file size, dimensions and legibility before submitting to the UPSC candidate application portal. Live photos must be captured in the official application.

Why the form rejects your upload
- •A photo outside 20–200 KB, without 75% face coverage, or on a dark background does not meet the stated instructions.
- •A mismatch between the uploaded photo and the mandatory live photograph prevents proceeding with the application.
- •A signature image must contain exactly three handwritten signatures arranged vertically, not one signature or a typed font.
- •Signature files must be 20–100 KB, clear, correctly oriented and within the stated 350–500 pixel dimensions.

- •Upload a recent colour JPG named photo.jpg: 20–200 KB, plain white background, frontal face and both ears visible, 75% face coverage.
- •Capture a separate live photo using the application webcam option or its mobile QR-code flow.
- •Sign three times vertically in black ink on white paper and scan all three in one JPG named signature.jpg: 20–100 KB, dimensions 350–500 pixels.
- •This current portal instruction PDF does not require a name/date placard. Check your examination notice for any additional instructions.
