SSC CGL signature resizer & live photo guidance
SSC CGL 2026 captures your photo live inside the application. Do not upload a resized existing photo or photograph a printed photo. Use SSC's camera prompt in good light, with a plain background and no cap, mask or glasses.
The 2026 notice requires a 10–20 KB JPG/JPEG signature. Paragraph 9.6 says about 6×2 cm, while Annexure IV says 4×2 cm. This preset uses a 3:1 ratio (450×150 px), following paragraph 9.6; these pixels are our preset, not an official pixel requirement. Follow the dimensions shown in your application if they differ.
Prepare your files
- Capture your photo in SSC's application, not here. Choose your scanned signature in the box below.
- We adjust JPEG quality within the maximum size. Simple images may remain below the minimum; check the actual output. Check the centre-cropped preview for missing details.
- Download the file and verify its file size, dimensions and legibility before submitting to the SSC official application portal. Live photos must be captured in the official application.

Why the form rejects your upload
- •Capturing a pre-existing photograph instead of your live face does not follow SSC's instructions.
- •A blurred or miniature signature, or a file outside 10–20 KB, does not meet the stated upload requirements.
- •A face outside the camera guide, or a cap, mask or glasses in the live photo, does not follow the capture instructions.
Official rules
- •A pre-existing photo is not required: SSC captures the photograph during the application.
- •Signature upload: JPEG/JPG, 10–20 KB. Check the output size and legibility before submitting.
- •The notice contains conflicting signature dimensions: paragraph 9.6 gives about 6×2 cm; Annexure IV gives 4×2 cm. Check the current application prompt.
- •Paragraphs 9.5–9.6 include an exception concerning rejection grounds for Aadhaar-authenticated applications; it is not a reason to disregard the photo and signature instructions.
