Why the form rejects your upload
- •Photo file above 300 KB — the UPSC OTR upload rejects it silently.
- •Photo without the candidate's name and photograph date on a placard.
- •Signature in colour — UPSC expects black ink on plain white paper.
- •Old or unclear photo — must be a recent (last 6 months) colour photograph.
Official rules
- •NDA uses UPSC OTR — JPG only, between 20 KB and 300 KB.
- •Recommended dimensions are 350×350 px for both photo and signature.
- •Photo must have candidate's name and date printed on a placard held below the chin.
- •Signature must be by the candidate in running handwriting, black ink.
