Why the form rejects your upload
- •Photo file above 300 KB — the UPSC OTR form silently rejects the upload.
- •Photo without name + photograph date placard below the chin.
- •Coloured or textured background — UPSC expects a plain, light backdrop.
- •Signature scanned in colour or in block letters — must be black ink, cursive.
Official rules
- •CDS uses UPSC OTR — JPG only, 20–300 KB.
- •Recommended 350×350 px for both photo and signature.
- •Photo must be recent (within 6 months) with candidate's name and date visible.
- •Signature must be in running handwriting, black ink on plain white paper.
